Minnesota Literacy Day Rally at the Capitol

Join us for Minnesota Literacy Day at the Capitol. It is a family-friendly event for adults, students, educators, and professionals. We will gather at the Capitol to raise awareness for dyslexia and all struggling readers. This is an excellent opportunity for children and participants to see government in action and to have their voices heard.
We continue to support strong implementation of The READ Act for students and teachers and support bill SF1842/HF60 that requires teachers to receive two hours of professional development on dyslexia for teacher licensure renewal.
The agenda:
9:30 am—Arrive at the Rotunda, allow ample time for parking and getting through security
9:45 am—Participate in a group photo (bring your poster)
10:00 am—The Literacy Rally begins! Hear speeches from students, teachers, advocates, and state legislators.
10:45 am—Participants adjourn to mingle and attend meetings with legislators, if you have made appointments in advance
